Sketches 130-200: More Household Objects

08/03/2023:
To improve upon my 3D drawing skills, I began to draw more household items. In the process, I managed to greatly improve my ability to draw curved 3D objects. I also discovered I quite like using colouring pencils to sketch rather than regular graphite pencils.

Things I liked: I liked the new shading technique I've begun using (zig-zag lines which bunch together for darker shades and vice versa for lighter shades) as well as using different colours to signify different components of an object. I liked the size experimentation as well in these sketches. For example, I drew a large 3D saltshaker and then did a few smaller drawings around it that explained its mechanisms in more depth.

Improvements to be made: Some 3D objects still do not look completely correct in terms of perspective but with more sketching that will probably improve. Regular colouring pencils require sharpening quite often which I cannot be bothered to do whilst sketching so some of the lines look quite thick. I will have a look into clutch pencils with coloured graphite leads to mitigate this.
